Amsterdam is a mosaic of unique architecture and cultural delights glittering in a network of 17th century canals.  The city is a flurry with bicycles, the local’s favourite method of transport however the city is an easily walk-able city, all the main attractions are located within walking distance.  Alternatively you can travel or tour the city via its canals, most canal tours start at central station, including the museum tours, which drop you off and pick you up along the way; Amsterdam has more museums per m² then any other European city.

Visit the Jordaan quarter for quirky bistros and boutiques dotted inside some of the best examples of the classic Dutch Gable facades.  Bohemians and romantics should visit the Vondelpark, the city’s most popular park, with beautiful rose gardens, kitsch cafes, a theatre, and a film museum to delight.  And why not continue the romance and splash out on an Amsterdam diamond?  For 400 years Amsterdam has been the diamond capital, visit the Glassan diamond centre to see how these exquisite stones are cut and crafted.


For a moving experience do not miss the opportunity to visit The Ann Frank museum in the heart of the city centre.  Enter the famous annex, Het Achterhuis where the hiding place where young Jewish Ann Frank wrote her famous diary during World War II trying to escape persecution, it is a truly humbling experience.  The front of the house is now used as an exhibition room and museum, where you can view the original diary.
