Four train operating companies operate trains to Cambridge.  National Express East Anglia operate services from Essex, Norfolk, Sussex and London.  First Capital Connect operate trains to Cambridge from Brigton via London. East Midlands Trains operate trains to Cambridge from the Midlands and Cross Country operate rail services from Brimingham.  Cambridge station is located just south of the city centre, next to the University's famous Botanic Gardens.
